About

About me!

I believe the best way to understand the world is to taste it. At 25, my journey has been defined by a constant movement between cultures, kitchens, and classrooms, all driven by a desire to bridge the gap between creative passion and strategic impact. Born and raised in India, food was never just sustenance; it was my first language, representing community, celebration, and a complex history told through spices and shared plates. This deep-rooted connection eventually led me to the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in New York City, where I traded traditional academic paths for a chef’s coat. Earning my Culinary Arts diploma in the heart of Manhattan was a transformative experience that taught me the discipline of the line, the chemistry of flavor, and the fast-paced grit required to succeed in a global culinary capital.

However, as much as I loved the artistry of the kitchen, I found myself increasingly drawn to the “why” behind the business of food and consumer behavior. I wanted to understand the mechanics of how brands grow and how social enterprises can create lasting change. This curiosity brought me to my current chapter: pursuing an MBA at the Schulich School of Business. Now a resident of downtown Toronto, I am navigating the vibrant, multicultural energy of Canada as a recent immigrant. Toronto’s incredible diversity makes it the perfect home base for someone who views life through a global lens; being an immigrant requires a unique blend of resilience and adaptability, qualities that I bring to both my personal life and my MBA cohort.

When I’m not deep in financial modeling or strategic analysis, you’ll likely find me planning my next escape. Travel is my greatest teacher, and whether I’m exploring the cobblestone streets of a historic European city or discovering a hidden gem in a local neighborhood, I am always looking for the stories that connect us. I’ve found that whether you are in a boardroom in Toronto or a night market in Lisbon, the ability to connect with people over a shared experience is the most valuable skill one can possess. My ultimate goal is to merge these two worlds—the sensory, human-centric world of culinary arts and the data-driven, strategic world of business. I am passionate about the future of consumer goods and the ways in which innovation can make global cultures more accessible to everyone. I am a chef by training, a strategist by trade, and a traveler by heart, eager to connect with fellow innovators who believe that the most exciting ventures are the ones that feed both the mind and the soul.
